Timeline
- · 0525 – Woke up agitated, and I took her outside, with the command “hurry”. What I scooped up in the plastic bag was mostly firm, just as “odiferous” as mentioned before, and monumental in size.
- · 0840 – woke peed and ate.
- · 0910 – went out and peed again.
- · 0920 – “bladder breaK’ again … enjoys being in the back yard.
- · 1000 – next “bladder break”
- · 1150 – Pooped in the yard. Mostly firm, and normal. The end looked, according to Amy, “yellow, soft and stripey”. Played hard, after that.
- · 1250 – went down for a nap.
- · 1430 – woke up, peed, ate.
- · 1545 – went down for a nap
- · 1730 – woke , peed and was active
- · 1755 – peed
- · 1800 – was crated and put in the truck … we went “on errands” together.
- · 1825 – returned home
- · 1930 – Fed, peed, pooped. … We go into the “X Pen”, and work on “sit” and name recognition.
- · 2010 – 2200: tried to sleep, awoken by multiple things.
- · 0015 –0130 : napped for a bit. Was disturbed, regularly, until 0130. After that, had to spend 15 minutes, or so, in the X Pen with Amy, working off the agitation.
- · 0145 – Crashed. Hopefully, for the night.
- A lot of things that need to happen, cannot happen until her leash is attached to a harness, not a collar. The collar pulls on her neck in a harmful way, and can slip over her head.
- Echo is beginning to get bored. Some of that will be fixed once we can take her out the front door. Whether that is for a walk, or, whatever. ... But, until then, we/I have to find a way to engage her better, mentally. ... "Sit", name recognition games, and exploring the backyard are not cutting it.
- While I wouldn't call her "house trained", if you are "in tune" with her at all, you know when she needs to go, and she will do everything in her power to not "go" in the house. ... She won't go to the door, but she will get kind of crazy, when she needs to go.
- Echo is a very rational dog. … When she gets irrational, there is a reason that you need to pay attention to. It might mean she needs to go pee, or poop, or she might be over-tired. …But, there is a reason.
